Giving Your Time Takes No Time

As I stood and passed out the Blankets, Supply Bags (toiletry bags) and Snack Bags to the homeless here in Raleigh it struck me that I used to be that person. I used to be on those streets, trying to figure out where my next move.

What most do not understand is, the homeless commuity is not who you think they are. They are human beings who hit a hard patch in life. They are your sisters, brothers, uncles, and aunts. They are not always the ones strung out on drugs and alchohol. They are individuals that may have lost their jobs and had no where to go and no family to go to. They are women that had to leave their relationship that was filled with beatings and domestic violence. They are individuals that have mental issues that no one has informed them about. They are human and they are struggling....that is who they are.

It takes no time to help...just get past the outer and see the inner of the individual
